All new clients attend a 30-minute consultation before their first session. We assess your skin type, hair characteristics, and treatment areas, build your personalised session plan, and answer every question you have before you commit to anything.
Prepare for Your First Session
Shave the treatment area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. Avoid sun, tanning, waxing, and plucking for at least two weeks prior. Arrive with clean, product-free skin. That is all the preparation you need.
Your Treatment Session
Sessions take less than 30 minutes for most areas. Our clinician applies the Cynosure Elite iQ to the treatment area. The sensation is mild and most clients describe it as a light warmth or snap. Protective eyewear is provided. You walk out the door straight after.
Watch Results Build Session by Session
With each session you will see progressively less hair and finer regrowth. Most clients complete 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart. By the end of your course, the majority of treated hair will be permanently gone.

How to Get the Most From Your Sessions
Following these simple steps will help you get the best results and protect your skin throughout your treatment course.
- Shave the treatment area 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, thread, or pluck as these remove the root the laser needs to target.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks before treatment to reduce adverse reaction risk.
- Avoid fake tan and tanning products for at least two weeks prior to your session.
- Do not apply retinol or active skincare products to the treatment area for 48 hours before your appointment.
- Arrive with clean skin. No deodorant, lotions, or moisturisers on the treatment area on the day.
- Let your clinician know about any medications, skin conditions, or recent sun exposure at every session.
- Apply a cool compress or aloe vera gel if the area feels warm. Mild redness is normal and will settle within a few hours.
- Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF 30 or higher daily to treated areas for at least two weeks after your session.
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise for 24 to 48 hours post-treatment.
- Do not wax, thread, or pluck between sessions. Shaving only between appointments.
- Hair may appear to shed or surface over the following two to three weeks. This is the follicle clearing and is a sign the treatment is working.
- Book your next session as recommended by your clinician, typically 4 to 8 weeks after your previous appointment.
